Yes, mobile visits may be possible

A Texas mobile notary may visit a hospital, rehabilitation center, assisted living community or nursing home if facility rules permit access and an appointment is available.

The signer must participate willingly

The notary must be able to identify the signer, assess willingness, and communicate sufficiently to complete the requested notarial act. Family members cannot simply direct the notary to proceed for someone unable to participate.

Bring ID and the complete documents

Arrange acceptable identification and the full document package. If a witness is required, coordinate qualified witnesses ahead of time rather than relying on facility employees.

Coordinate facility access

Confirm visiting hours, parking, room number, infection-control requirements and whether staff need advance notice. Do not send confidential medical information through a general contact form.

Fees and scheduling

Our hospital or senior-care specialty visit charge is $40 in addition to applicable travel and authorized notarial fees. We provide an itemized estimate before confirming.

Know the limits

Notaries cannot assess medical competence, draft powers of attorney, or provide legal advice. If there is a legal capacity question, consult an attorney or appropriate professional.
