Notarize Online, Wherever You Are
For eligible documents, connect through a secure remote online notarization platform with identity verification and live audio-video communication.
How Remote Online Notarization Works
- Request an appointment and identify the document and receiving organization.
- Confirm document eligibility and recipient acceptance before paying or scheduling.
- Prepare your electronic document, acceptable ID, camera, microphone and stable internet.
- Complete platform identity proofing and credential analysis as required.
- Meet the commissioned Texas online notary live through the compliant platform.
- Receive the electronically signed and sealed document through the platform.
When RON May Not Be Appropriate
Not every document can be completed electronically. Confirm with the recipient when an original wet-ink signature, in-person witnessing or physical execution is required. Texas wills, codicils and testamentary trusts require particular care because electronic transaction rules exclude testamentary matters; consult an attorney about the appropriate execution method.
RON cannot proceed if required identity verification fails, the signer cannot participate willingly, or the notary cannot meet the legal requirements. Some lenders, recorders and foreign recipients do not accept RON documents.
A standard Zoom, FaceTime or WhatsApp call is not by itself a Texas-compliant RON session. Online notarization requires an authorized process, recordkeeping and a Texas online notary commission.

Pricing
A standard qualifying online notarization is planned to start at $35 when the transaction fits the simplest fee structure. Texas allows an online notary to charge up to $25 for each online notarization in addition to regular authorized notary charges. Exact pricing depends on the number of online notarizations and certificates.
