What a mobile notary does

A commissioned notary travels to an agreed location to conduct a traditional, in-person notarial act. This is useful for paper documents, people without video access, or documents whose recipient requires an original wet-ink signature.

What remote online notarization means

Texas online notarization uses an authorized online notary, identity verification, and compliant real-time audiovisual technology. The notary must hold the required online commission and follow recordkeeping requirements.

Not every document qualifies

Some documents and recipients have special rules. Texas wills, codicils and testamentary trusts have restrictions on online execution. Confirm acceptance and legal eligibility with the receiving organization or an attorney before booking.

Cost and convenience

An eligible basic online notarization may total $35 for a single-signature acknowledgment ($10 statutory acknowledgment plus up to $25 online fee). Mobile service may include a separate travel fee.

Technology needs

For RON, prepare a suitable device, reliable internet, acceptable identification and any platform-specific identity verification steps. Never send sensitive identification documents over ordinary chat unless the secure process specifically requires it.

Which option should you choose?

Choose mobile if in-person paper signing is required or more practical; choose RON only if your document qualifies and the recipient accepts it. Ask us to discuss the logistics, not the legal sufficiency of your document.
